First Post-Breakup First Date: Part 2!!

OMG! Oh. my. god.

I'm exhausted and tired and have to get up early and go to bed. But holy shit....

That was A. GREAT. FIRST. DATE.

I was soooooo nervous and obnoxious and could NOT SHUT UP. This guy is NEVER going to want to go out with me again. But you know what...

I would go out with him again.

I laughed. And laughed and laughed.

We talked about NOTHING. And it was phenomenal.

Somehow we got in a conversation about what type of classes/styles/lifestyles of people vegetables were. We decided cucumbers were yuppity and uppity. We decided that sweetpotatos were a kick ass starch. We decided that even though I like cauliflower I would never be cool because I work for the man.

It made no sense. But it was awesome.

He's sweet and nice and accommodating.

And maybe we are better off as friends. And maybe there will be no second date.

But there was a moment where I went to the restroom and I looked at myself in the mirror. And I wasn't just smiling with my mouth. I stared into my own eyes and my eyes were smiling. And I thought - you. are. okay.

And you are gonna be okay....

Yay! More tomorrow...

I told him to sling his hook.

Oh. That was my version.

Oh Andy- you are a peach and a half! But lighten up already! For the ten thousandth time - its not about him. Its about me. And tonight before and now, on that date and bc of that date I feel happy. So he- is a good thing. If only temporary...

Well, I'm sorry to hear Mr. U wasn't as peachy keen as you thought! But glad you're picking up the pieces and moving on and realizing you're perfect with or without a man!

Good for you! I don't mean to discount your relationship with the single-horned creature, but it wasn't sooooo long that you need to take a lot of time to regroup. Get back out there and have fun!!! No fear!

I wish I had gotten to the last two posts earlier, because my comment on the PBDPart I would have been: Stop fretting, it's gonna be great! Friends make the best dates, you've already got awkward sex out of the way and he knows who you are so you don't have to pretend to be someone else. Yaay!!

Wow, sorry it has taken me SO LONG to respond to all your lovely comments. But I've been blogging and posting again A LOT! so its hard to keep up. yay!

vvk- smiles back.

Sarah and StormKat - yes getting back on the horse after a fall is the only way...even if it HAS TO BE a different horse.

Tricia - its sucks. But i'm trying to remember that life goes on and I must go along with it and be strong and live life while its available for the taking.

ClickingFrogs- it may not have lasted THAT long but it was pretty serious. We both were looking to fall in love and settle down. I just wasn't his dream girl. And again, that sucks.

Kissing- you will hear more about the math teacher as we have another date!

D- I will make a point to run to some Christina on my next workout. Thanks for the tip.

Intrigue Me and Susanlee - I can always count on you for support!!

Thanks all!
